We have a client in Sarasota, FL looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking IT Professional. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of IT experience including both technical and customer service experience. This individual will be the lead technical expert reporting to the President of the company. This is a permanent opportunity.
About the Role - The candidate will perform the following duties:
- On a daily basis, check for any customer issues with critical on-site equipment.
- Log appropriate tickets in our service desk system.
- Track and manage resolution that may take longer than 1 day to complete.
- Setup and configure new wireless radios for deployment to customers. These devices are Linux based and require knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Deploy the custom code to the devices.
- Setup and configure a Windows based all-in-one computer. These are delivered to our customers for remote support when needed. Previous experience setting up Windows PCs, cloning hard drives, etc. are required.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies that are shipped to customers.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which document our support processes, troubleshooting, etc. These will be used as we expand our services and add Level 1 support technicians.
- Will be required to perform network and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Will need to be able to remotely access our receivers using SSH.
Growth and Senior Skills - If the candidate possesses previous Azure experience, or as the candidate becomes more senior in the role and is trained:
- Ideally would have previous experience with Azure cloud based services.
- Occasionally, will be able to setup new Azure services such as web servers, FTP, etc.
- Will monitor the performance and capacity of our Azure services.
Required Skills
- Must be proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools including Work, Excel, and Outlook (email) web our client. Excel will be used frequently for analyzing data and sorting information.
- Must be proficient with the use of service desk ticketing systems.
- Must have basic technology skills for troubleshooting network connectivity.
- Must have familiarity with remote desktop tools for accessing other computers.
